Introduction:

Environmental and Resettlement Studies are undertaken to ascertain the various impacts likely to occur due to implementation of the project and the various measures proposed to mitigate the adverse impact on the environment. 

 Resettlement studies help in identifying the Project Affected Persons (PAP) likely to be displaced/ affected due to implementation of the project and to suggest various measures for their resettlement/ compensation.
